Rocks on my porch...

Saturday night I found these on my porch:

What is that? I wondered.
But it was dark and I couldn't see clearly.
I decided it must be one of the children's brilliant creations.

I loved going outside this morning

to see what was sitting so quietly near the threshold.

The children have been busy. A whole rock family.
Generations, even.

I was delighted to see that there were rocks of all shapes and sizes.
And most important:

I couldn't help but smile.

Just want you to know that the rocks were put there so they would be out of the rain....so I was told! I thought that they were awesome little "people", oh, the rocks too.

Your kids are very creative and cute. And I think it's sweet that they think in terms of "families" ---an extended rock family. Cuteness!

Oh whew, I'm relieved. I thought those rocks were there to capture Wormboy by his arch nemisis. Glad I was wrong.
