pedicures

last night i received a pedicure inspired by oldest daughter. and my toenails are orange. they kind of remind me of old lady lipstick. again- i can't favor you with a photo, because, well, no working camera.

i haven't had painted toes in a long time. i have been letting my toenails "breathe". because i think i had polish on my toes for a continuous year- or more. so then one day i decided to remove all the polish and vowed to not paint my toes again until all the yellowed toenails grew out. and last night was the night. my toenails were finally looking a bit healthier and were rewarded with old lady orange. the utltimate reward.

my youngest sister is here. and she got a toenail clip and pink pedicure. oldest daughter performed it. and it looks very 6 year old. she is pregnant. (youngest sister- not oldest daughter. phew.) and she is way sick. she has been in and out of the hospital multiple times and has been diagnosed with some pregnancy sickness that is bad. so yesterday i drove to her house and picked her up and she spent the day with us so we could take care of her while her hubby is at work. he lovingly packed a diaper bag for her. complete with snacks.

husbands are so good for that.

Thanks Steph for the loving care you gave Gin. I know it is much appreciated. And thank you "eldest daughter" for the fine pick me up for mom and auntie.

Love how your text reflects the color of your toenails. Never thought you could have Orange toes.

Good post.

So are you working to coordinate your outfits with your pedi? And by that I mean a long knit skirt and a shawl ....

Love it.

You know how she feels. Yuckky...give her a hug for us. Wave at Brandon as he flies overhead. Just for today. Too bad I can't send him for a pedicure:)

For a second I thought you said your 6 yo was preggers. Little scared for a second.

I always have my toes painted. I think naked toe nails are ugly. But because I use cheap paint, one coat, and only do it once a month, mine have never yellowed. (At least that's what I hypothesize.) And if I'm in a real hurry before church, I just paint the first two, because those are the only ones people see in my peep-toes.

My toenails are in horrible shape...but now one up here in all the snow will see them untill June when all the snow metls...I am glad that someone out there has good lookin toes! Tell Jen to hang in there...I too dealt with hypermenesis (really sick..throwing up, IV's, hospital) it really stinks, but tell her it is worth it and that it does not last forever, even though it feels like it! We will keep her in our prayers..I know it can get a little depressing. Give everyone there our love!
