Why Blogs Are a Good Thing: Reason #374

People from Mexico
can visit my blog
or I can visit theirs
and have an enjoyable time
without being exposed
to whatever-the-heck-flu
they have going on right now.

Happy almost Cinco de Mayo.
I hope this thing is figured out.

Soon.
If not sooner.

I'm so ready for Cinco de Mayo. But people in SD are getting that flu now, and with my current health luck, I feel I best be wearing a mask at all times.

I am sorry you just lost a fan of your blog by posting that picture. Mainly because it is in direct violation of contitutional law. I support many non main strream ideas toward immigration, however I promote upholding the Laws and Consitution of the United States.

Angel - I can promise you that my wife fully supports, and has read, the Constitution and the laws of these here United States.

Thank-you for letting us know that the photo could be offensive to some. No offense was intended in the posting of flags from Mexico and the U.S. It has since been replaced with an alternate photo - she had not noticed that the U.S. flag was upside down. (We can only assume that your issue was in regard to the flag flying upside down.)

That said, I hope you come back to this post and can explain what part of the Constitution she is in violation of to satisfy my own curiousity? A flag is not mentioned anywhere in the God-inspired document. Further, flying a flag upside down has only recently been interpreted as a protest, but historically it has been established as a way to signal distress.

You can read, and search the Constitution here: http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html

You you may also want to read the Code of Conduct for the United States Flag at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_United_States

And here is some history of the upside down usage (which is provided for in the code of conduct) at: http://flagspot.net/flags/xf-flip.html.

Happy blogging...

Woo Hoo! I come to innocently read a blog post by one of the funniest and thoughtful bloggers I know and I am instead treated to SCANDAL! lol!

Oh- and I don't think the person will be back, Chris appears to be a formidable opponent in a debate. I'm not going to cross him!

I hope your feelings weren't hurt that someone's taken a simple picture that intended no offense and interpreted it that way. Don't worry though- those of us who really DO read your blog know that you are as patriotic as they come.

Yeah, I saw the picture and was surprised, because, even though I only 'know' you through the blog, I knew that you didn't intend any offense to anyone, and that I was just an oversight, just like you said it was in your post today. achick47 MUST just be a brand-new reader.
Her loss!
:~D

Angel couldn't have been too much of a fan, or she would have known that you are the last person who would ever knowingly post anything offensive or hurtful--and you are the most patriotic person I know. Didn't you have a child born on the 4th of July?! That just proves it...

Anyway, Angel's loss! We love you, sis! And your little blog too...

I've been gone for a while, so I just saw the post. Silly of someone to get offended at something that was obviously a mistake. I'm still one of your biggest fans.
