I don't know about you,
but I think it has been a little serious
around here for the past couple days.
So I think I'll mix it up.
Just a bit.
With a little silliness.
This is the agenda:
a question
and
a little randomness to follow.
Question:
What did you do last night?
We did this:
Yep, it's October here, too.
And we're letting our kids run through fountains
at 7:00 at night.
I love Arizona in the fall!
A little randomness:
Because the husband is extremely interested
in protecting his assets,
I am scheduled
for a mammogram this afternoon.
My first ever.
I'll letcha know how it goes.
****Stay tuned for the final installment in my series Chasing Motherhood

Looks like fun! So, is all the black so you guys wouldn't get caught? LOL!
Good luck with the Mamogram. I need to go do one too but our insurance is crap so it's not happening until dh changes jobs. I think.
I spent last night watching my fun tv shows and making sure my flu-catchin'-husband didn't pass his germies onto me and the kiddies.
You night looks like MUCH more fun!
We had a Jr. High orchestra concert and Greg had a meeting. Yours looks way more fun, but when it's in the 40's after dark spraying water isn't as enticing as it once was! Enjoy your fall- this IS the best time in AZ!
Husband here. JUST to clarify, my greatest assets are my wife and children. Making sure my primary asset (my wife) is alive and well, is the best way to protect my secondary assets (children).
AND, because I love my wife so much, I've been nagging my wife to get a mammogram for more than 16 months. I'm glad she is finally taking the plunge.
Being that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I thought a few facts may be in order (after all, I always have interesting facts to share):
- One in eight women will get breast cancer in her lifetime.
- Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 15 and 54.
- Every 13 minutes a woman dies of breast cancer.
- The first sign of breast cancer usually shows up on a woman's mammogram before it can be felt or any other symptoms are present.

You made a miracle happen today. I have been putting off getting a mamogram for nearly six years. I hate going to the doctor so I just ignore my husband's good advice and put off again and again. So today when I read your post. I thought if she's doing it I should, so before I typed this I called and got an appointment. So yea for you my husband will be very happy when I tell him.
I love this time of year in Phoenix, wish we could enjoy it with you!!
Good Luck on the mammo- let us know how it went :)
Way to go Steph! I need to get in too, in fact every woman should. Thanks Chris for the fun facts.

Your activities last night are much more appealing than mine!
