This is oldest daughter about 2 1/2 years ago. Painting a masterpiece. One I am sure she ripped out of the book as soon as she was done and hung it on the refrigerator and then after it had its time on the fridge I am sure I threw it away. Because, as much as I'd like to keep it, I just don't have room for ALL of the childrens' art work. And I am sure she found it in the garbage can later and asked me why I threw it away and then she re-hung it. And then it was there for a while longer until I removed it. And having learned my lesson and being a wiser mother, I dug down deep in the trash and covered all signs of its existence so that it would not be rediscovered. And now it is in a landfill somewhere.
This is the general routine at our house.
I tag Heidi, Suzi, Marni, Natalie, and Calli. (that is, if any of you are reading this blog. oh, and you can choose which tag you would like to participate in. or not. whatever. it's totally up to you.)
Shall we zoom in
and examine the items a bit closer?
I count 13 small hair clippies and two fragments of cardboard, one large and one small. And look how shiny those clippies came out. Wow. Ultra Buena!
What will the children come up with next?
Can't wait to find out. And it should be soon. Because I get to do more laundry tomorrow!

I love your sense of humor and the way you communicate about your family. So glad I found your blog!
By Golly, I've got it...teach your children to collect coins. That way you will be getting paid to do the laundry.
I have not been blessed with little boys, so I always get trucks and coins from my washing machine.
ooohhh me- i like your idea! i think you're on to something.
I'm just glad to hear that I am not the only "most horrible mommy in all the land" because I throw away all of the LOVELY pictures that come home from school or get colored at home- who has room for all this this stuff?? Unfortunately for me the oldest child is also a trash digger- she is on to my hiding methods-so that no longer works for me!!!
thankfully my boys aren't as sentimental with their stuff. at times they are but usually I can get rid of the stuff I don't want to keep.
on another note...
...my sister found crayons in her whites and thought she got them all out of the wash, but unfourtunately missed an orange one. So now she's stuck with the task of getting orange crayon out of all her whites.
Your washing machine looks like a spaceship.
ok i will take your tag challenge. i will go all out and do BOTH. mostly because i have never done either and i am interested to see what i find! those ARE really shiny hair clippies! how great. you found a quick & efficient way to get all of the hairspray residue off the hair things! without the use of harsh chemicals! you know i really have been wondering the best way to do that.....i'm not being sarcastic here. i guess, for the plastic ones, you could put them in the dishwasher too...top rack only of course! thanks for the great cleaning tip! haha
